I remember picking it up, at a bargain, playing a little bit of the first location: Eden Prime with Commander Sheppard and...dying to some flying enemy and being somewhat...mildly surprised, that it was that frustating.
Problem at that point was that I was not using Mass Effect cover system and of course being riddled by bullets or advanced projectiles.
I just don´t remember what made me click around 2010? that the game was so great. Tremendous, someone would say.
The controls where responsive, the dialogues & choices were interesting and i just got embedded in this world and the lore. Absolutely an amazing game done by the old Bioware, with a longevity between 40 to 60ish hours with some amazing gunplay/ encounters. A must if you are a gamer.
Not my favourite ME, since that award goes to the beyong amazing ME 2.
